There was a day the client said they wanted governance. Everyone nodded solemnly, like we all understood what that meant. Someone even brought a laminated RACI chart. It felt official.

For a while, things were beautiful. Pages had owners. Components had rules. Approval workflows flowed.

But then someone added a new content type called “Special Announcements.” No one knew who approved it. No one knew who created it. It just… appeared.

Some say it was the intern. Others say it was the ghost of the last content strategist. Either way, governance was never the same after that.
