We once ran an A/B test on a button label. Version A said “Get Started.” Version B said “Unleash Your Potential.”

Version B had a 0.2% higher click-through rate. So we showed the results to the CEO.

He clapped, then shouted, “Let’s unleash everything!” By the end of the month, the homepage headline was “Unleash Your Journey.” The CTA said “Unleash Me.” Even the chatbot said, “Unleashed and ready to help.”

Eventually, the legal team stepped in. Apparently, you can’t legally say “Unleash the ROI” in three countries.
