Understanding the new Microsoft Certification Paths

It took me a bit too long to figure out what was going on when I first looked at the new Microsoft Certification Tracks on msdn. I put together this diagram to make it a lot clearer:

This diagram actually was out of date, MS has added MCPD now. http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/mcpd/entapp/default.mspx

I don't understand what you mean by out of date. This diagram explains how to get the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS): Web, Windows and Distributed as well as the Microsoft Certified Professional Developer in Winodws, Web and Enterpise Applications. What is out of date?

Yes it does reflect the latest MS certification paths. I was reading the diagram all the way from left to right. I got it after re-looking it from left->middle<-right.Good work! Only comment about it is the texts in the diagram is too small to view

Diagram does not seem to depict - once a MCPD Win, how would I go about to a MCPD EAD ?

There is not a straight forward path from MCPD Win to MCPD EA. The MCPD certification path is not like MCAD to MCSD. Since the MCPD Win is the MCTS Win + exam 70-548 you actually need to take 70-528 (web), 70-529 (distributed) and 70-549 (Desigining/Devloping Enterprise Apps) to get the MCPD EA.

"MCPD Self-Paced Training Kit (Exam 70-548): Designing and Developing Windows-Based Applications Using the Microsoft .NET Framework (available late 2006)"

This is written for all of the MCPD Test Learning Ressources. Does anyone know what is meant with "available late 2006"? Is there another release day announced?
